I love potato chips. (American, so not “crisps” for me.)
I generally like the basic flavors, and some with a little pizzazz - but not so much it takes away from the basic chip.
I’m the US, I have to be in the mood, and eating the right complements for Salt & Vinegar because the vinegar is often a bit much.
Not these. I found these on a whim in a grocery store in Saudi Arabia. I think it was Lulu, but haven’t found them since and I’m looking HARD.
They have just enough salt, and not too much vinegar and have a perfect crunch. Not teeth challenging, but not going to melt quickly if sitting in your mouth a few seconds. (And there’s a time and place for those kinds of (Lays) chips too.)
The vinegar has a hint of malt to make you think about a classic fish n chips, which is to me, kind of mellowing.
My only frustration with these chips is trying to find more of them. Kettle NAILED this recipe.
